Setting DiscussIt up to work with Echo

The following instructions explain how DiscussIt can be setup to enable the moderation of Echo comment streams.

First make sure you have a DiscussIt account.

Create a new Site Profile using the New Site Wizard

Select the DiscussIt Echo Plugin from the list of installation types and enter your Echo API key and Secret in the boxes provided.

If you make a mistake here you will get an error when you press the Finish button because we run a quick check to make sure that these details are valid before saving them. If this happens please check that your Echo API details are correct.

We then provide you with an example snippet of Javascript code. You should use this to modify your Echo configuration. The bold text is javascript that needs adding to your code, and the Javascript file listed above should be included along with any other Echo modules.

Once this has been configured you can start using the DiscussIt Desktop Moderator to moderate new comments.
