Joomla! Plugin v1.1 > 2.0 Installation Guide

Before installing the plugin please ensure you have signed up for an account here as doing so will provide you with the API key you will need to enable the plugin to work properly. A setup guide is available here if you need further help with this step.

Installing the plugin

To install the Joomla! plugin, first log in to your Joomla administration page and select 'Extensions' -> 'Extension Manager'.

Click the 'Browse' button in the 'Upload Package File' panel and select the plugin package .zip.

Now click 'Upload & Install.'

If the installation is successful you should recieve the following message:

Now select DiscussIt from the "Components" drop-down menu.

On the next page click the link shown here:

Now you will be asked to enter your API key (you can get one here if you don't already have one.)

If you've entered the API key correctly you should recieve a "success" message.
